Here are three California avocados - do you know what varieties they are?
Post your answer in the comments and I'll send a treat to the person who answers correctly first.
Hint - all three are in season NOW.
I can source these all on Fridays from a local rancher (and 2 are organic!) - so place an order by Thursday and they could be yours to try.
A Bacon, a Hass and -- ?? Pinkerton?
ReplyDeleteGood guess, the first one IS a thin skin -- but not a Bacon. And Pinkertons are long necks... so ... no ... check out the varieties on our website here for photo help.... http://www.avocadodiva.com/catalog/category/heritage-varieties

Reed, Hass, and Lamb?
ReplyDeleteFuerte, Hass, and Lamb!
ReplyDeleteThe Lenahan Family got it right FIRST! Great job people!! Excellent guesses!
ReplyDeleteThe first one is definately a Reed (big, green, thin skin softball), the next is a Hass (an organic one at that!) and the last is a Lamb (also organic).
Lenahan Family - can you email your address to the Diva at diva@avocadodiva.com -- and I'll put a little present in the mail for you.
(FYI - our comments are moderated so we don't put out spam or let inappropriate "viagra" commercials show up... so that was the delay at night).
Thank you so much! I'm very excited. Emailed you my address.
ReplyDeleteGot it! Sending out a surprise soon. Quite the Diva to ID those!! ;-)
